Well this is it…can you believe it? We are entering the last term of your primary school years! Luckily, we have lost of exciting things planned this term.
Sports Day will be taking place on 20th June (backup day – 23rd June).
We are off on Residential to Barton Hall on 26th June. Have a look; it looks great: http://www.pgl.co.uk/en-gb/school-trips/primary-schools/centres/barton-hall
Break a leg. We will also be hitting the stage again with our end of year production of Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes - Snow White.
Ending the year on a high at Gravity!
Check out what's happening in Dragon Class this week:
In connection with our topic, we will be writing factual narratives, poems and instructional texts.
In Maths this term we have been signed up to the ‘Fiver Challenge’. The scheme provides a highly interactive fun way to introducing financial numeracy, resilience and teamwork. We will have 1 month to set up a mini business and create a product or service that we can then sell or deliver at a profit. To find out more have a look on their website: http://www.fiverchallenge.org.uk/
To consolidate our learning from this year, we will be completing mental maths tests every Friday.
We will be continuing our topic of WWII.
Science this term will focus on the topic of ‘Living things and their habitats’. To support our scientific writing, we will be conducting experiments weekly.
This year you are expected to take home your reading book and reading record book every night and bring them back to school every day.
This year, we will be having PE with Andy Booker on Wednesdays and an additional PE session with Miss Graham on Monday afternoons.
Your PE kit must be in a clearly named bag. This should include:
- Black/dark shorts
- School PE T-shirt in house colours
- Sports socks
- Outdoor trainers
- Indoor plimsoles
- A warm tracksuit top and bottoms in plain, dark colours during the winter.
- Waterproof clothing, if possible.
Please ensure all the items in your PE kit, including the bag, are clearly named.
Please note: The studded boots/trainers worn for football and rugby clubs are not suitable for PE on the playground.
